Thank You!

I want to convey my most sincere gratitude to everyone who helped on my campaign. We made great progress, developed wonderful friendships and contacts throughout the district. I enjoyed meeting with everyone and was energized by the number of people within our district who still believe that we should stand on the principles that were handed down to us from our founding fathers.

Today I am more concerned about the future of our republic than ever before. When I started my campaign in 2008 the national debt was $9.5 trillion. By the time I ended my campaign it was over $10 trillion. Today the future looks even more bleak as our new president and congress set out to stimulate the economy by giving our grandchildren's taxes away in an $836 billion giveaway. The numbers have gotten so big that everyone is lining up to the trough to feed.

Currently H.R. 1 is set to become the largest pork barrel spending bill in the history of our country. The new "stimulus package" would provide $5.2 billion to ACORN, the leftist non-profit group that helped get Obama elected. The "stimulus package" also includes $20 million for the removal of small fish passage barriers, $400 million for STD prevention, $34 million to renovate the Department of Commerce headquarters and $150 million for honey bee insurance. I ask you, how are these things going to stimulate the economy? One of my main talking points during my campaign was the ingredible fiscal irrsponsibility of Washington, and I am even more convinced that this cancer must be dealt with and stopped.

As for me, I will continue to be active in promoting what is good and battling what is evil. I encourage all of us to do as such. May God bless you and may He motivate your heart to action.
